Euthanasia & Cremation

Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy – whether they happen to be human or animal. Our pets become a part of our family.

As such, deciding when it’s time to let them go can be one of the most difficult and emotional decisions one ever has to face. At Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic, we understand how hard it can be, because we’ve been in your shoes. We too have had to make the difficult choice of when to let go, and experienced the pain and grief of those final moments.

While we know this decision is never easy, our goal is to make the process as peaceful and comforting as possible for both you and for your cherished pet. We’ll work with you to help you make the right decisions at the right time. When that time does come, we’ll be there with you so you don’t have to go through it alone. Sometimes, just being able to choose the place where your pet will spend those last moments can bring a sense of comfort and relief.

Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic offers in-home euthanasia, to allow you to say goodbye to your pet in the place where you both feel most comfortable. We also offer cremation services in conjunction with Valley Pet, who can pick up and drop off at our clinic. They offer the option of having your pet’s ashes returned to you or spread over a beautiful 90 acre orchard. For in-home euthanasia, Faithful Memories will meet us at your home and take care of your loved one’s final journey based on your wishes.

At Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic, we consider it an honor to help make the passing of your cherished loved one a dignified and peaceful experience. Our clients really feel as if their pet is a family member, and we have seen many of them from puppyhood to this final event in their lives, so it is an emotional time for the family, as well as our entire staff.

If you’d like more information about our euthanasia or cremation services, please don’t hesitate to call us. We want you to know that you’re not alone during this difficult time.

Dr Megan Bray is amazing. She has seen our Bella during her entire battle with ectopic ureter and then chronic kidney failure. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Bella about 2 weeks ago and despite how difficult the experience was she was very empathetic and just as sad to say goodbye. We are proud to call her our vet and always recommend her and the entire team to others.

Our precious feline family member was deathly ill at the end of her 13th year with us. We were heartbroken and the staff at Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic were so kind, gentle and caring with us and our kitty. We said our last goodbyes and they helped her transition. I was especially touched when we received a handwritten sympathy card from them this week. Thank you!!!
