Wellness & Vaccinations

Do you want to know the secret to helping your pet enjoy a long, happy and healthy life?

As loving pet parents, we want our animal companions by our side for as many years as possible. At Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic, we believe the best way to ensure this happens is by making a commitment to their ongoing wellness. By bringing your pet in for regular checkups, you’ll help protect him or her from many of the common ailments that can affect companion animals. You’ll also give us the opportunity to identify and address potential health problems early, before they have chance to develop and worsen. These simple things can add years to your pet’s life.

An Ounce of Prevention

Our wellness services are comprehensive and extremely thorough, because we want to do everything in our power to keep your loved one healthy. At each visit, the doctor will examine your pet from nose to tail, looking for anything out of the ordinary. We will also develop and implement a customized preventative care plan tailored to your companion’s unique needs, lifestyle and risk factors. This will include vaccines, parasite control, nutrition and weight management and anything else we deem relevant to your pet.

Ongoing Health Management

Wellness visits also provide us with regular snapshots of your pet’s health status at each appointment. We can then compare this information against previous exams to identify any changes. This allows us to detect the signs of illness early and develop an effective treatment plan in a timely manner. With many ailments, an early diagnosis can vastly improve the outcome for your pet. The more we stay on top of these things, the better chance we’ll have of extending and improving the quality of your companion’s life.

Getting to Know You

Finally, annual visits give all of us at Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic the chance to truly get to know you and your pet. Developing a relationship with you and forging a bond with your animal friend is an integral part of the care we provide. In addition, we also offer biannual visits for senior pets as well as pets on wellness plans. This allows us to partner with you in managing your loved one’s health, and also makes visiting the vet a more positive experience. The more we understand your companion’s needs, the more precisely and effectively we can develop a health care plan.

You want to see that special little guy or gal enjoy many wonderful years. At Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic, we’d love to help you achieve that goal. Call us today and let’s get started!

I started taking my dog here in 2017 and they have always been amazing.... we had two emergency situations and we're seen right away , the girls are so good with my bolder who has epilepsy, is always nervous and is a dashchund need I say more lol.... Dr. Lucas is great with him and started treatment which reduced his seizures to almost none and they always try to be fair in pricing since bolders care requires bloodwork and meds for life. thank you very much for all you do for our bolder boo

I have used these docs for many years and have found that, although the doctors rotate in and out with regularity, the main vet tech is always there and helpful kind and happy. The beauty of having young doctors is they can be very honest and really feel for you in the hard times. They let you decide what you want after they advise. Also I can get an appt in the next day or so or even sooner in emergencies.

I've been coming here since the late nineties and this is the only veterinarian I will bring my kids too they know all my babies by name and I'm always made to feel at home when I bring my kids here. We have been using Taylorsville Vet Clinic for over 13 years and they are the best! They took care of our first Golden Retriever for 11 years. They always gave us sound, professional advise and guidance as we maneuvered through, Lymes disease, Hypothyrodism, Arthritis and finally, with great sensitivity, cancer and the final decision to have our girl put to sleep. We now have a new Golden and they have already had to deal with a life-threatening situation with her! Once again, Dr. Sutton has clearly explained our options and helped us make the best decision for our dog. I appreciate that they treat me with respect as a pet owner by giving me all the options available, from conservative to more preemptive/proactive approach- never judging my final decision. As long as I have a pet, I will be taking them to Taylorsville Vet Clinic and I will recommend them to anyone with confidence.
